You Are Not A Project To Be Fixed.

You are a person to be known, supported, understood, and loved.

If you are here, you might be feeling like you are broken, failing, or in need of “fixing”.You might be searching for a professional that can help repair these damaged parts of you.

My philosophy is different. I don’t believe that real transformation comes from bullying yourself into change, or from “fixing” your flaws. I believe real transformation follows love, acceptance, and understanding. If you believe that others are worthy of love simply for existing, my goal is to help you extend that same radical grace to yourself.

Healing isn’t about becoming “new”- It’s about coming home to who you already are. In our space, we move away from the “fix-it” mentality. Instead, we cultivate a deep and compassionate curiosity. I believe when you stop fighting against yourself, you finally have the energy to grow. We aren’t here to change you so that you can finally be worthy – We are here to recognize your worth so that you can finally live a life that truly feels like yours.

An Approach That Targets The Mind and Body.

Healing isn’t just a mental exercise we practice once a week in therapy. It is a wholistic commitment to intentionally tuning into our brains and bodies.

With seven years of experience as a boxing coach, I offer a unique, non-traditional way to process emotion. At N&F, clients have the ability to integrate boxing techniques (mitt work) in sessions. This allows for safe and controlled emotional expression – while also giving the client the ability to feel like a total badass.

Boxing isn’t about aggression; it is about integration and resilience. It provides a safe, structured way to physically move the feelings we identify in the body. When we hit the mitts, we aren’t just exercising – We are giving your body a chance to process and release the energy that talk therapy alone sometimes can’t reach.

No experience or equipment is required to engage in this therapeutic intervention.

Couple’s Therapy Services

Your Relationship Isn’t A Problem To Be Solved.

It’s a connection to be nurtured.

Let’s move beyond the blame game. So often conflict is not about whats happening in the here and now, its about the parts of us that are stuck in patterns of feeling unseen, unheard, and unappreciated.

At N&F Counseling, we move away from what is “right or wrong”, and instead look at the system you’ve built together. Understanding why you and your partner(s) react in conflict can give us the ability to shift away from blame and judgement, and back to curiosity and compassion.

Connection is so, so vital to our wellbeing. We don’t work on your relationship so it can meet a “standard” of what a couple should look like. We work on it so your partnership can return to a place of inherent worth and value, aligning your shared life with the goals and intimacy you both truly desire.

Therapeutic
Modalities

Internal Family Systems (Parts Work)

I often tell my clients: even though you are one singular person, you contain a whole world of different “parts” or personalities. You already experience this every day- The way you show up as a professional at work is likely very different from how you show up with your partner, at the grocery store, or when you are completely alone. You might have a “part” that is a perfectionist, a “part” that feels a little child-like, or a “part” that gets angry to protect you when you feel unsafe.

In our work together, we shift away from looking at these different parts of you as “problems” to be changed. Instead, we get curious about them. We look at why they showed up in the first place and what they are trying to protect. My goal is to help you move from being overwhelmed by these different voices, to leading them from a place of compassion and confidence. When you understand that all parts of you- even the ones you struggle with- are actually trying to help you survive, you can finally stop the internal war and start living with a sense of wholeness.

Experiential Family Therapy

This approach is rooted in the belief that you already possess an inherent capacity for growth; my role is to help you cultivate the self-esteem and self-efficacy needed to trust your own inner wisdom. Rather than acting as a distant observer, I show up as a real human being in the room with you- using our genuine connection as a vital tool to help you feel seen, safe, and supported as you navigate your journey.

In our work together, we focus heavily on the power of communication and connection. We explore how you relate to yourself and the world in the “here and now,” moving away from the pressure of “fixing” flaws and toward the goal of expanding your quality of life. By focusing on your strengths and your inherent value, we work to ensure that your path forward is not defined by external expectations of productivity, but by a deep, internal alignment with who you truly are.

Somatic Interventions

Sometimes, the things we carry are too heavy for words alone. You may have noticed that when you’re stressed or upset, your body often reacts before your mind even finds the right vocabulary- your chest tightens, your breath becomes shallow, or your hands clench. My somatic approach acknowledges that healing is a full-body experience. By incorporating physical movement and sensory tools, we provide a “release valve” for the emotions that often get stuck in our nervous systems, allowing you to move through feelings rather than just thinking about them.

Healing requires a sense of safety, and I provide a variety of tools to help you stay grounded and regulated during our work. This might look like stepping outside for some mitt work, using ice packs or tapping to calm a high-stress response, utilizing fidget toys to help you focus, or simply taking a water break to reset. You’ll also likely have some help from my practice pup, Blu, a 5 year old Heeler mix who specializes in providing a calming presence. Whether we are discussing the impact of our movement or simply sitting in reflection, these tools are here to ensure your body feels as supported as your mind.
